In calligraphy, Alphabets are also called hands or styles. Here I include the “classic” hands, the ones generally done with the chisel edge calligraphy pens, as well as some more modern styles done with monoline pens, brushes, etc.
I’ve included a section called Drawn/Scrapbook Alphabets. Of course they can be used anywhere, but these alphabets are usually drawn, and more casual in appearance.
The Letters section is a gallery-type section of samples of each letter. Also Numbers and Punctuation. A handy reference when you’re looking for something specific. Or just for inspiration.
While the word Fonts is also sometimes used for alphabets, I use it here in its more common use as referring to computer or printing fonts.
If you have anything you would like to contribute to this list of alphabets, letters, fonts, you are welcome to send me samples. If I feel they will benefit other readers, I will add them to the list.
