Project – See-Through Letters

See-throughLetters

Well, I’m almost there, but not quite, when it comes to having the first of the products and membership levels online. I’ve been putting my poor old brain through quite the workout trying to get the new systems all figured out. But – I am almost there. So watch for good stuff coming next week!

For today – here’s a project I thought you might enjoy. Check out the video instructions here:

As always, for those seeing this by e-mail, head on over here for the post and video.

As a heads-up, I was able to complete a e-book version of my personal calligraphy journal that will be available next week, if all goes well.

I have the Intro Membership ready to go too, as well as the Calligraphy Basics Membership. I’ll also have some news about the Basic Italic course coming up, so stay tuned for next week!

  1. Wow Evelyn…This one was fun…so many possibilities…Im Glad you threw in the section on the white paper borders…I don’t have lots of backgrounds to choose from for patterns here, so I used a sheet of black rainbow paper..(the stuff that you scrape the black film off and end up with bright rainbow colors) and for my first try it was really fun and came out pretty good..I will try a few more colors tonight when I get home from work…also thank you for mentioning the courses..I will be the first to sign up…I feel so fortunate to have started getting your instruction and blogs since signing up for DCP…again Many thanks for a FUN Project..Your the best…Respectfully Tom Fonicello Connecticut

  3. Hi Evelyn,
I’m so glad to have found your website! My interest in drawing and calligraphy has recently been re-ignited! Not since I was in high school in the seventies did I do anything; life got in the way. So, I’m interested in the news you have about learning Calligraphy Basics and the journal.

    1. Hi Bonnie,
Welcome to DPC! I’m glad you have found your way back to drawing and calligraphy, and I hope I can add something more to that with Dancing Pen Calligraphy. Yes, I know all about life getting in the way! I started this website 5 years ago and then had life come along and take me elsewhere for most of the past five years. So I’m glad to be back at it too.

    1. Thanks! I used the small pair of scissors you see at the beginning of the video. Most times I use an X-acto knife because it gives a cleaner cut on the corners, but I didn’t have them handy the day I did the video, so I just used the scissors. Use whatever works best for you.
